Yay!Stories started with one stubborn four-year-old who refused every book that was not about her. We built the first version over a weekend. Forty-eight thousand books later, the idea has not changed: children read more when they can see themselves on the page.
Every design decision is judged on one question: will a five-year-old want this read to them again tomorrow night?
Children’s photos are encrypted, never used to train models, and removed from our generation queue as soon as a book is delivered.
Story structures are written by human authors and illustrators set the art direction. AI personalises inside those rails — it does not improvise the plot.
Every template ships only after a group of real families has read it at bedtime and told us what fell flat.
Photos are uploaded over TLS and stored encrypted. They are used once, to build the illustrated character reference for your book, and are then deleted from our generation infrastructure. They are never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never added to a model training set. You can request deletion of your account and all associated images at any time by writing to hello@aistorybook.app.
